"Polish Spring Festival" in May

In the beginning of May a number of Polish events will be held at the Polish Hall. We call it the "Polish Spring Festival" as a way of distinguishing it from the big "Polish Festival" held in September.
Let me bring your attention to two special events, Cabaret "Pod Banka" and Grand Nobility Ball. Both events are fascinating and enjoyable. With our reasonable prices, they are truly real bargains right here in the Portland area. I would suggest you to come to both of them.

Polish Evening with Cabaret "Pod Bańka" (in Polish)

Saturday, April 30, 7:30pm, at the Polish Hall

The cabaret "Pod Banka" is coming to Portland again!
This Toronto group gave such an awesome performance in March, 2004, that we decided to invite them back. It was one of the best Polish performances we had ever seen at the Polish Hall.  The cabaret troupe includes professional Polish actors, writers and composers. Their program is often shown on Polish TV in Poland. Although the jokes are in Polish, the performances can be enjoyed even by those with very limited Polish.
Tickets will be available on Sunday at the Polish Library 12:00-1:30pm. Advanced ticket prices are $18.00, $15.00 for PLBA members, and $12.00 for seniors and children. At the door $20.00.
For more information call Ma
łgorzata Cieszkowska 503-762-8085. You may also send a check (written to 'PLBA') to address Polish Hall, 3832 N. Intersate Ave. Portland, Oregon 97227.

constitution in Europe founded on democratic principles. In Poland, the Third of May is recognized now as "Constitution Day".
