Do we need volunteers? Yes, we do!
PLBA is a nonprofit organizations and relies on volunteers. All officers (President, Board of Directors, Librarian, etc.) work on a volunteer basis**.
We have many active volunteers in our community who help us all the time. They do all of the organizational work. We also have a big number of occasional volunteers, who help us with specific projects, for example, with the Polish Festival. We are very grateful for their help.
Thank you to all volunteers!!
(By the way, we also have a small number of critics. As in every community, they usually contribute little to the community, but they tend to complain about everything and siphon off our energy. Help us minimize their impact on our organization.)
** We have two positions at Polish Hall that get reimbursement (housekeeper and renter), but these are not officer positions.
