Membership
Membership is easy. Simple print out the application,
fill out the appropriate fields, and mail with a check to PLBA,
3832 N. Interstate Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97227.
You will then receive an invitation to a monthly meeting for an official initiation.
The text of the initiation, from the Bylaws, is as follows:
"In the presence of Almighty God, for the love of my country and my ancestors,
in the presence of all members of the Polish Library Building Association,
I solemnly state that I voluntarily take upon me all obligations of a member of this organization
and I promise faithfully to observe, support, and defend the Constitution of this Association
as well as the Constitution of the United States of America. So help me God. Amen."
