Polonez
Polonez in the beginning was a peasant walking dance, danced on weddings ceremonies. It was adopted by the Polish nobility as a formal dignified march. It was used to open court balls and royal events from the 17th to 19th century. The first historical note about Polonez comes from 1573, when it was used for the coronation of Henry of Anjou as king of Poland. Now it is one of five Polish National dances.

Mazur
Mazur, or Mazurka in English, originated from a folk dance in the Mazury region in Poland. This is why it is called Mazur. In seventeen century the dance was taken and improved by nobility, and in eighteen century it was popular through the entire Poland. In the 19th century, Mazurka became one of the most popular dances on all European ballrooms. It's popularity declined in the beginning of the twentieth century when it was replaced by tango. Mazurka is one of the five Polish National Dances.

Polka
Polka is the most popular folk dance in Poland. It has about 100 different variations. Few of the variations are danced by the children, girl and adult group. Polka became a national dance in Check Republic and Paraguay.

Krakowiak Krakowiak is a folk dance from the Krakow region. Krakowiak is one of the Polish five national dances.
